“To all my friends and fans – It’s time that I clear the air. It’s not a secret that I haven’t been in contact with my mother Frankie, and my sisters Neffe and Elite and I never wanted to air out our differences to the public. While I won’t go into detail here I find it necessary to let you guys know I decided to stop communication with them because I was at a point in my life where I needed serenity and peace to move forward. Please know I love my family very much but it was time to let it go. You guys are a witness to a lot of what was happening from watching on air and online. Now that I am becoming a mom my passion for having a loving and peaceful home for my child is my #1 priority. It’s very important to both Daniel and I. My plate is very full; I have a new baby coming, we are planning our wedding and I am working in the studio on a new album that I am close to completing. The stress that my family is giving me with their constant false reports is not healthy and it’s not what I need at this time in my life. Please understand that there are only a few people that can officially confirm or deny anything that’s happening in my life and that’s me, Daniel, and my publicist, Tresa Sanders. And my girl Monica never lies.”

In other words… she is embarassed. I just lost a lot of respect for her. Family should always come first! Family is even more important when you are bringing a new life into the world. She doesn’t have have to let Frankie baby sit but she shouldn’t deny her flesh and blood because she is trying to salvage her reputation. Who does that? I’m disappointed.

Normally I would agree with you Dom, but on this one, I see where she is coming from. Family comes first but at some point you have to take a break from family drama to allow peace to come in. We don’t know all of what is going on in her life and in her family’s life but if you can’t change the people around you, then change the people around you..and that is just what she did.
You are right. I guess I am not pleased with how public it is. What would be the point of making a public statement?
Well she does have a fan base.. and she still wants to keep them.. I think it was responsible of her to address it… she was completely honest about her transition into motherhood and marriage and its giving others permission to do the same.. unlike some celebrity woman..*cough Rihanna*….
Sorry dom I don’t agree with you; being embarrased is one thing but when you have people in your life that cause you constant stress, pain, worry, and drain you financially you have to let them go! Family is givin’ to you it’s not a choice…but everything givin’ to you isn’t gold! She wasn’t even raised by or with them so why as an adult does she need to let that in her life? She is KC gave them a chance to become better people by letting them be a part of her show, but they turned it into a bafoon fest……let the girl live!!!
