[BET.COM's Dorkys Ramos] Her husband,Jay-Z, first mentioned the miscarriage she suffered in the past in his 2012 song “Glory,” but up until now Beyoncé has never opened up about that moment. In her upcoming HBO documentary, “Life Is But a Dream,” Beyoncé talks about losing her first pregnancy and how she dealt with the pain.
“About two years ago, I was pregnant for the first time. And I heard the heartbeat, which was the most beautiful music I ever heard in my life,” she said. “I picked out names. I envisioned what my child would look like … I was feeling very maternal.”
Unfortunately, a trip to the doctor for a checkup revealed that the baby’s heart had stopped beating. So she retreated into her music to help her cope with the tragic loss.
“I went into the studio and wrote the saddest song I’ve ever written in my life,” she says. “And it was actually the first song I wrote for my album. And it was the best form of therapy for me, because it was the saddest thing I’ve ever been through.”
I hope this note finds you doing well! I’m writing to address a comment you tweeted yesterday during the Super Bowl regarding Michelle Williams. I was disappointed for many reasons. First of all, it surprised me that an artist would make such a remark in such poor taste when you are aware of the difficulties associated with performing, singing live, etc. That said, you haven’t been as fortunate enough to see big stages such as these in your career so I can understand the degree of ignorance.
I’m also led to believe that you are not aware of the stigma that hangs over your head. You should know very well what it is like to be ridiculed for lack of talent or due to one isolated performance. Remember when the world mocked you back in 2007 after you performed at the City of Refuge? I’ll remind you:
I played your rendition of this Christian classic for a friend and he brought up the point that you could have been overwhelmed by the magnitude of this performance and the size of the crowd, not to mention the Holy Spirit assumed to be flowing through the church. Then it occurred to me that you are often likened to Mary J. Blige, who is the greatest of them all when it comes to performing live with much emotion. She has enough class to respect other artist. If she is your idol, you should follow her lead and fight the urge to offend other working artists.
I could spend a lot of time criticizing you and sharing my feelings about your voice but I digress. When it is all said and done, I think you were trying to be entertaining and didn’t know how much your words would stir up negative energy. You should be more careful. Don’t use Twitter to down people. Use it to promote your own work!
In closing, I think Michelle Williams is one of the most amazing human beings! I love her work and enjoy following her in social media! I would like to marry her. Keyshia Cole will be invited to our wedding. She will sing her favorite rendition of “air.”
All of this Destiny’s Child reunion news is getting me excited! I love football and music! I know that Michelle Williams denies a reunion but I am thinking that maybe they didn’t tell her about it? Just kidding! I can’t imagine Beyonce wanting to share this moment with others. Either way, I’m excited!
Peirs Morgan is a great interview. As many times fans have heard Brandy speak about Whitney and the new project, Morgan found a way to get more out of Brandy, emotionally. I like it! This was a great interview!
I am not going to lie. I don’t get excited about Tyler Perry films. Yes, they are funny, but not always my kind of humor. I probably could loosen up a bit but I don’t like seeing Black men dressed in women clothing. There. I said it. I don’t think it’s funny or cute. Shoot me.
That said, Tyler does well with casting great Black actors and he is the only one still doing it on the big screen! This film is especially a MUST-SEE for me because favorite singer is featured! I needn’t say who but in case this is your first visit… BRANDY! She is casted alongside Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Lance Gross, Kim Kardashian, Vanessa Williams and Robbie Jones. Can’t wait until March 29, 2013.
I must say! I am tired of Keyshia Cole being so responsive to her critics in such an ugly way! If you are going to be a good example to your children and a celebrity, you need to do what Kandi Burruss does and Rise above the haters. You cannot be on Twitter cursing females out! You have decided to highlight the deficits in your marriage for a national TV audience so you need to deal with the consequences! THAT SAID, Keyshia is clearly the realest chick in the game! Some of the rest of these girls will rant for a few minutes , get checked by the label and them claim their account was broken in to!
Simple ass bitches! Running me hot! RT @_ForeverMiyah: RT @Thegreat_280: keyshia cole gone get divorced before a year .. lol watch
