Raise your hand if you are confused why Kim is there? Oh well, she is a singer I guess. Keri was the main star in this situation. They were working on some mix tape in the studio and Keri stopped by. The whole time, Kim Z. was yelling obscenities and saying that her daughter loved Keri and Kandi. She was acting super starstruck. Kandi went on some rant about how Kim is a baller and dropped six figures in a slot machine. Smart? I guess if you got it?

Why “Real Housewives of Atlanta” is Hated by Some Black Women
“I am a wife of one husband for 26 years, I have a married daughter who graduated from UGA and is now working as a social worker and starting her doctoral program in August of 2010 and a son in the 11th grade. I have tried to be a role model and example to my children at home and in the workforce. I manage a minority medical practice and I do not allow my staff to act unprofessionally, even though sometimes my female patients try to take us there,” says Holmes. –terry shropshire
While the “RHOA” enjoys the largest fan base of any of the “Real Housewives” franchise — as evidenced by their record-breaking ratings — Holmes sums up the sentiments of the anti-”Atlanta Housewife” crowd by saying the shows counters everything she believes in and the stereotype helps to erode the moral fabric of the black community. Seshana Patterson says the women’s antics, which oftentimes come off as manufactured and fake, have long since grown trifling and tired. “I say get rid of both their a—-,” she says. “Kim is a flipping idiot and she can’t, no matter what anybody says — sing. NeNe just got on my nerves last season. Every altercation she had with Kandi, she was in the wrong. And how dare she call Kandi ghetto when she is the definition of the word. Dump them both. ”
When rumors began swirling wildly that “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” was about to fire NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak from season three, some women were very disappointed.
They were actually hoping the whole show would be cancelled altogether.
Or at least some were hoping that Bravo TV, which airs “RHOA,” would replace most or all the cast members and start anew with more dignified, more qualified and a higher caliber group of women. What these African American businesswomen did not want was the continued illumination of what they termed limelight-lusting, dimwitted, gold-digging, ghetto-minded, foul-mouthed, drama-seeking women — and then try to pass them off as the average black woman.
Sarah P. Holmes, an executive administrator for an Atlanta OB/GYN, says that Bravo TV is exploiting the women’s ghetto-fabulous mentalities for record ratings and revenue. She wants her fellow professionals to boycott the raunchy show or block the channel from their children.
“The show is a disgrace to me as a professional black woman. Adding the ex-wife of Usher is a step down from the current women,” Holmes says, responding to the widely circulated rumors that Tameka Raymond would be added to the show. Bravo executives deny. “What will a network do to get ratings. Strong black women of dignity unite to protest this show,” implores the outraged executive.
Kye Lynn Wilson, an insurance company executive, says she has yet to see what value the show provides to young, black women nationwide — or any women at all for that matter.
“I personally think the show is a pretty poor reflection on black women,” Wilson begins. “What really bothers me about the show is how they are all so caught up in materialism and always keeping up with the Joneses. Everyone, with the exception of Kandi, seems to be very superficial. And I especially think it is a really bad show for young and impressionable girls. All that fighting, arguing and carrying on. I mean, really, what is it that we are even supposed to learn from the show? Or, is it just really bad entertainment?”
Word on the Street: Nene Leakes & Kim Zolciak to Leave RHoATL?
It is being reported that Nene Leakes and Kim Zolciak have requested that Bravo give them more money to stay apart of the most popular of the Real Housewives series. Currently the ladies make around $125,000 per year however the show has been sold into syndication and the ladies get ZERO of that money. No word from Sheree or Kandi. Kandi doesn’t need the money but she needs the exposure. Sheree needs both. Our girl Lisa Wu Hartwell isn’t even being mentioned in the streets. Seems like her time is up but I can’t confirm that one!
I think Nene is really the only one who would do well without the show outside of Kandi. Nene has the following, the book, and the celebrity to make it on her own if she so chooses to. The other ladies should stick around as long as they can. That being said, they needed better lawyers. I would think that kandi would have had some lawyers look over some of the syndication drama but she was just so happy to be there that she probably just signed the paper.

Rumors: Neffe to Join Real Housewives of Atlanta?
Nobody ever tells me anything but I got a tip that Senior Vice President of Production and Programming at the Bravo cable television network, Andy Cohen has pursued BET’s Neffe for the third season of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” We have been hearing that they plan to cut someone and I think we all know that Nene and Kim aren’t going anywhere. That being said, there have also been rumors that Nene is getting her own show on another network. Anyway, what do you all think about Neffe being on RHoATL? She is technically more of a housewife that Kim, Kandi, and Sheree! She does live in ATL! It definitely wouldn’t hurt the ratings! Y’all think about it and I will keep my ear to the streets!
Soul Train Music Awards 2009 Recap
The red carpet special had me thinking this production might be a tad “hood” but I was hoping for the best! Toni Braxton started the show off with her new single and a new wig. The wig was much better than her regular situation. It was good enough for Trey Songz to want to sing and kiss Ms. Toni. The kiss, which we have found out was management-arranged was super tacky. Therefore, I will now be referring to Toni as “Tacky Toni.”
I forgot that Terrance Howard could sing. He and Taraji come out singing their rendition of “Reunited” and it was pretty dope. They also kissed on the lips and it was much less tacky in comparison to the messy kiss between Tacky Toni and Trey Songz!
Keri Hilson wraps up the first award with best new artist and it was then that I noticed that she had the weirdest wig.. it had like a duck tail. She is quite sexy to me though!
In between dumb jokes we got to meet the ladies from the “Queen Project” with Kelly Price, Deborah Cox, and Tamia. They presented the award for the album of the year which went to Beyonce. She accepted her award from Russia. Keri was next to perform and I decided that she is a level two Ciara.
Keith Sweat comes out to introduce Charlie Wilson. Not sure what eh was doing but everything about him was annoying. I wonder if he bumped into his ex-wife Lisa Wu Hartwell while at the show! With all due respect to the Legendary Charlie Wilson, how old are you when you are too old to have braids and wear hats in buildings? Ginuwine comes out to perform for Charlie and started on the wrong note but later got it together. Kandi and Brian McKnight comes out to sing something. Kandi sounds a mess. Well, I guess she was aiight.
I’m a fan of Ryan Leslie’s but that performance wasn’t at all memorable. Mario is one of my favorites. I would say he would he does no wrong but who does a song with Sean Garrett! Musical beauty. Musical beast.
I’m not really a Trey Songz fan and I am certain he didn’t invent sex but since the fall of Chris Brown.. he is at the top of his game and I can’t be mad! The song is not bad.
The Soul Train review lost me whenTaraji opened it up as Diana Ross. IS THAT CHICO?
I loved Boys II Men. They remind me of my entire childhood! The singing of Raheem D. is great!
Not many awards were given out at this show but if I could just make up one, I would give it to Chrissette Michelle for having the dopest performance of the night. I need to add her to my Xmas list!
Why does BET need a new network when they don’t even have the first one together! What was that rat-colored shrug Debra Lee had on? Her hair was nice though. Anyways.. the highlight of this show was the group of SANGERS that paid tribute to Chaka Khan…. Erykah Badu was AWESOME! Angie was alright. Chaka has on Precious’ pajamas.

ATL Housewife Kandi Burruss Opens Boutique Called Tags

Kandi Burruss, cast member of Bravo‘s “Real Housewives of Atlanta”, has opened a clothing and accessory boutique named Tags. Kandi teamed up with her friend, Peaches Chin, to open Tags, which is located in Smyrna’s West Village. Chin will hold daily management responsibilities and Kandi is the head of marketing and promotions.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta Finale Recap
What a season. It’s sad but true… all good things must come to an end. I want to cut Dwight’s hair. Ever week, he is having a new issue. Who remembers last season when he had a terrible weave? And to think.. this sucka works at a hair salon!! Lisa and Ed need to downsize because they are low on cash. Of course, we all know now that they lost the house they had before. The gold digger in Lisa comes out. She is more in love with the idea of LOOKING wealthy rather than being able to afford what you have!
Nene and Greg are not on the same page about Nene’s alleged father, Allen. What makes me happy is that FINALLY, a man is being what God called him to be on this show.. A MAN! Nene’s husband steps up t the plate as the protector of his family! Nene is being slightly unrealistic but so is Greg. Nene isn’t going to dump her dad because Greg doesn’t trust this guy. However, Nene needs to trust that Greg has good intentions in this situation.
Of course Nene runs over to Lisa’s house in order to enhance her visibility. Now, the church in me has a problem with Nene questioning her husband’s judgement in the company of someone other than her husband but I am going to let her slide! I think that Lisa was right. Time will eventually heal any reservations Greg has.
It’s Mother’s day at Kandi’s home and Ms. Burruss decides to pull AJ to the side with a half apology. Mama and AJ make up and kiss. Mama thinks that Kandi is very happy. While she isn’t feeling the “Fo-Baby-Mamas” she was willing to be an adult! I see you mom!
Meanwhile Kim is throwing Lisa under the bus for being less than fashionable.. and while Kim hets on my nerves, she is right about Lisa. She has very little fashion sense. She does clean up beter than almost ALL of the housewives though.
Nene and Kim get into it in a Target parking lot over a stupid song! No one knows who choked, slapped, punched or choked who!. HOWEVER. We all know Kim to be a liar so I am going with Nene’s story! Nene never siad she didn’t hit Kim… LOL!
Line of the night: Dwight says, “This is not a church convention so we not showing church collections.” DEAD!
Honestly… I am not certain who would win in a 1 on 1 between Sheree and Dwight… (Not fist fighting…)
Kim is a liar! Kim is a liar! Kim is a Liar! I am glad Nene walked out!
Dwight puts me through so much. he needs to lay off the botox and get a fade! On the other hand, if Sheree doesn’t like hi style.. she shouldnt have hied him. He was more help that harm though.
Bravo had Nene go and drum up a conversation with Kandi. Nene requested an apology… That didn’t go very far! Kandi goes back and starts eating off AJ’s place where Kim chits and chats about Nene. Not sure how I fee about her referring to Nene as a moose!
The fashion show goes well.. with exception to Shere’s hair.. a mess! Kim was being ULTRA fake about her likes and dislikes.

Kim How odd is it that Kim and Sheree were the two planning an engagement party for Kandi. Kim’s chunky wig stylist comes over looking a mess with a filthy fade! His barber has some sharp clippers. Anyways, she gets a $800 wig. SHe lies about wearing 30 wigs a month. As Usual, Nene’s name comes up! Why did she have to ask about Nene’s hair? Don’t worry about what Nene is doing!
Kim is pretty annoying but the wig was nice.
Sheree Sheree’s dress samples arrive and the world takes a deep breathe. FINALLY.. a fashion show with some fashions! Wow, Sheree starts modeling her samples and it brings attention to her amazing body! She has her ghetto friend over to assist her. I REALLY need to stop using that term but I can always tell when people are ATL natives. Something about them! I call it the “Monica effect.”
Sheree calls Dwight and it appears that he has a Metro PC or something. He can’t hear a word she is saying and even I am getting frustrated. Sheree’s friend questions her blind faith in Dwight. Ditto! Dwight shows up at Sheree’s house judging her clothing. I am cracking up laughing at the sounds of disapproval he is making.
Kandi Kandi, her mom and AJ go see a counselor. I still can’t take hearing talk about AJ. Is that rude? I’m tired of Kandi’s hair. I wonder if Kandi’s mom feels bad about this? She shouldn’t. This is her only daughter. Honestly, I didn’t like that AJ was talking over Kandi’s mom but I am going to chalk that up to editing. In addition, Mama was cutting him off too. The marriage counselor has the same weave/wig as Nene.
WAIT.. I am confused… the counselor asks Kandi to name one thing that she, AJ and mama have in common and she says “DELICIOUS.” WHAT?
Nene Nene is trying to find her real father and takes her book writer and Uncle to meet a potential dad. I t was then when I realized that Nene has indeed changed between seasons… If she hasn’t, then she just had a bad wig back in season 1. Nene’s story is quite interesting. Random thought: There was a yellow piece of paper in the door… Wonder what that was. If thats Nene’s family home and she drove all the way to Athens, they should have been able to get a key. Anyway, the visit was pointless since she never lived there! I still love you Nene!
We get to meet Nene’s Aunt who raised her! Aunt Nell is a cutie! She looks like she has a lot of love in her!
Lisa Lisa and Ed are painting and he tells Lisa to sit down and obey her husband… thats about the most exciting exchabge involving Lisa. She was much more exciting last season. She needs a story line.. but even if she doesn’t get one she is getting her money!
The Engagement Party: Why are they discussing AJ and his kids! Kandi’s mama is a mess! At least she gets in there that she likes AJ as a person. Even Ed, Lisa’s husband, has questions! Of course Kim just had to bring up Nene! She called Nene a moose. #Jealous. LOL @ Kandi’s mom saying she wanted Tardy for the party and Kim didn’t even say thank you. Kandi’s mom is messy! AJ asked mama to make a toast…but Kim went first and said something about people talking mess about her and Big Papa… Uhhhh….
All mama could muster up in her toast is, “We’ll just wait and see!” You know what that means!

1. The first I noticed tonight was that Kim had a new wig! She and Beyonce have the same problem!
2.How sad did you feel when they mentioned AJ and their secret engagement party. Isn’t wierd that Sheree is helping to plan this party as well! I like Sheree but she seems a tad “into herself!
3. Ed shaves his under arms. I like Ed. But Ed.. heart and pride are not enough!
4. Now.. of course Lisa supports Ed not playing anymore! She has been very vocal about not wanting him to play! I just hope he finds a way to support his family. Lisa looks like she might have a problem making him feel like the man of the house! Who doesn’t want their man to do what he is most passionate about?
5. I hate how they set up these “meetings” between the ladies. The meetings with Kandi seem so “unnatural.” I couldn’t see Kandi and Lisa hanging out in real life!
6. Why does Sheree have to talk about Lisa’s show every time she opens her mouth as if her first show had clothes?
7. WHERE does Kim get $250K a year! If Big Papa is legit, then we would know him if he is making all that money!
8. I love Lisa and I like that Nene and Lisa talked about domestic violence. How powerful to hear these stories of overcoming these obstacles!
9. Sheree has found her match! Dwight is giving it to her! He is unimpressed with any of her ideas! He encourages her to go and sit down and look pretty!
10. Ummm.. I don’t think Kandi dresses age-appropriate!
11. This run that Ms. Nene had was a circus!
12. Who called Dwight at 2 a.m. in the morning talking about Kim!
13. RUDE! Why did Sheree Nene needed to work out! RUDE!
14. Derek J, Kim’s stylist … LOOKS A FOOL!
15. Kandi mustn’t have gotten the hookup with this record label! She or her voice don’t excite me! Thats not to say she is a bad person but…
16. I was kind of sad that Lisa wasn’t pregnant although I knew she wasn’t because she would be close to delivering since the show is recorded in February.
Housewife of the Week:
Lisa and Nene were great! They gave back! I love that! I enjoyed hearing their stories. It is so powerful when you can turn your pain into something positive by helping someone else! Thats beautiful!
Nene Leakes Chats with B. Scott… “I WAS A STRIPPER… AND?”
Nene hooks up with the B. Scott for a great interview! I think Nene keeps it real and she is the only one of the ladies I would want to hang out with… although I like Lisa’s energy! Anyways, check her out! Skip the first 6 minutes! LOL! Ms. Nene serves it straight.. no chaser!

Nene Of all people, she calls Lisa over to rehash the night before where she and Kandi got into it! Honestly, as much as I love Nene, I want her to let the song situation GO! I am started to think she was hurt by it or banked on the financial gain she would get from it. Why are we still harping on it? Mind you, I am not talking about her ranting on the show.. I am talking about recent videos/press where she is still addressing it! Don’t let people sink you into this foolishness!
Lisa Even though Lisa gets on my nerves, I did agree that it would not have been ”organic” for she and Nene to be at Kandi and Kim’s little birthday party. Lisa and her husband are boring. If Ed has not played football in years, he’s not likely going to be returning to the NFL! It’s time for him to get his own job so I am glad he is going into broadcasting. Lisa and Ed have really good chemistry though. Lisa looked amazing at Kim’s performance.
Kandi Kandi is going on and on about her new album that she is releasing independently. She has a show that she is hoping results in a music deal. This song called “I Fly Above All The Haters” is such a dumb song. Who cares about the haters? I wonder how Kandi feels about that fact that “Tardy for the Party” will be bigger than any hit she may have!
Sheree’ Sheree depends on Dwight for her fashion show. I’m digging Dwight’s suit. HOWEVER, Dwight is a consultant… if he wants to dictate how a fashion show should go, he should have a show himself. WAIT, he did have a show. Word on the street is that it was horrible! Oh, Sheree’s friend Tanya is cute. I like her style. I see Derek Blanks in the background at Kim and Kandi’s party. I wonder if he came with Sheree?
Kim Kim is planning party for her and Kandi. Nene was not invited. I can’t take hearing Kim talking about Big Poppa. Such a disaster. Kim goes into the studio and sounds an IDIOT! There are not words to describe how she is murdering 4 or 5 words! Kandi lays the foundation and just sounds a mess! Bad example. Ummm… who gets engaged to a married man who doesn’t even show up at your bday party? I am SO confused.

Real Housewives of ATL Episode 9 Recap!
Live blogging tonight! I’m west coast so if you’re an East coaster, come back later!
1. To hear Kim talking about her love and passion for a married man gets on my nerves. What bothers me the most is that she makes it seem like she is lowering her standards for the sake of her children’s lifestyle. PLEASE!
2. Big papa is in a three year divorce process? Come on now!
3. I love Sheree when she is just being herself and living her life… it’s when she has a meeting that I start getting bothered by her attitude!
4. I appreciate Lisa’s philanthropic endeavors but she is the housewife who struggles fashion-wise.
5. Kandi, as annoying as she is, did okay as an actress. People were crying and going on!
6. Sheree is not getting on my nerves at all today! She was even nice in the meeting with the painter!
7. Sheree… if you didn’t want to wear the purple top, why did she bring it?
8. I thought it as really special that Sheree brought her mom to see the portrait. Mom is a cutie.
9. Ugh! Kim was killing me in the grocery store.. EXCEPT when she said, “I would wear this sh$% to the grocery store!” FUNNY!
10. Lisa and Kandi do the Pocketbook. Lisa is cute because she is TRYING. I assume she did well because Dwight was there and he was clapping with approval. That speaks volumes!
11. Kandi was mess when she got up there but pulled it together.
12. Dwight was out in the lobby pouring on the compliments for Kandi’s performance!
13. During the commercial and right before the big Kandi/Nene fall out, I want the world to know that I will be riding for Nene NO MATTER WHAT!
