The Norwoods are Coming to VH1!
One thing I can never get tired of is reality TV shows that feature the Black family unit in a positive light. I am hoping that the forthcoming reality show, “Brandy and Ray J: A Family Business” will do just that! The show airs on April 11, 2009. Rumor has it Chilli, from TLC will debut her show that same night so it ought to make for some very interesting television! Are you ready?

Coupledom: Chilli & Floyd Mayweather?
FreddyO.com reports that boxer Floyd Mayweather and TLC member Chilli are “boo-ed up.” Chilli was presenting at the “Cusp Leadership Awards” on Monday and repeatedly referred to Mayweather as her “baby.” If thats not a enough, she couldn’t quite take her hands off of him! On how her reality show came about
Our producer from TLC’s show “R U the Girl?” was fascinated by my outlook on men and thought I was too picky. Years later we developed a show to help me find someone. I was very clear it couldn’t be your typical dating show. I’m very picky and all women should be. I want to encourage women to fight for what it is you really want, and stand by that. Otherwise you will have a lot of heartbreak or will be left unfulfilled. When you bring a lot to the table, you can’t be with someone who is half-stepping.On how her show will be different from the other dating shows
One thing is for sure, there will be no kissing on the mouth with these guys. That is so gross. That’s not a part of getting to know someone. They won’t all live in the same house either. It will definitely be a lot of fun. I’m not limiting myself to Black guys. I’m open to all men and all Black women should be. You may miss out on the man of your dreams because you are trying to stick with a brother.
On if she will get back with Usher
(Laughs.) I don’t know. You never know. Only the good Lord knows that. If it’s meant for us to stay apart, we will, and if it’s meant to be the other way, somehow in the future it may happen.On how being a mother impacts her dating life:
I would never get serious with anyone who had a problem with kids. I don’t like when women are dating and they present every guy they are dating as a boyfriend around the kids. When you are a great mom, it’s hard to not bring someone you are dating around your kid, but you don’t display affection in front of them. “This is mommy’s friend,” and that’s so your kids aren’t confused and develop bad habits.On why she thinks she’s ready for love:
I’m hard on guys, that’s why I said maybe I do need a little help from VH1. I also know I have avoided many werewolves being tough. As a celebrity and just a woman who takes care of herself, you have to be very careful. Guys talk more than we do. I can go on a lunch date, and the guy spins it to something else, and that includes celebrities. All of that turned me off from dating. Now I am at the point to open up again. It’s also important to be able to enjoy your own company and I love my space. I do hope to get married one day, and when I do I still hope to enjoy being alone. Hopefully I will connect with somebody on this show. We already know ultimately who everyone wants me with (laughs).

In other news… TLC will be featured at Justin Timberlake‘s Shriners Hospital for Children benefit concert in Vegas. The event is scheduled to take place on October 17, 2009. This will be TLC ‘s will be giving their first live performance in over six years.
Monday Celebrity Updates #2
Mmmkay! I have been missing in action, I know! Louisiana was super good to me and I am happy to be back on the West Coast!
1. Well, Chris Brown has made a video apologizing to world… looks like he was reading something his publicist wrote for this! This is the product of him talking to his “minister and mother.” He also admits that he grew up in a house where there was domestic violence. Hmm… I think he forgot to say the record label played a part in this 5-month late apology!
But whatever. I forgive Chris Brown but he is no longer my favorite young male singer. Mario has assumed that role.
2. I appreciate Tyler Perry stepping up and responding to the situation in Philly where all of those Black American kids were kicked out of the private pool because they might “change the complexion.” Well, Perry is making it possible for them to blend in at Disney Land! Props to Tyler! Read the full story on the pool situation HERE! Oh and he certainly has the money! He has managed to make Forbes highest paid men in Hollywood list! Get Black man!
3. Now, they will never leave Michael Vick alone… the animal rights activists and the NFL probably feel its their turn to convict this man. Jesus is the only being that forgives and forgets saints! LEAVE MIKE VICK ALONE!
4. It might just be me but I think Lil’ Kim takes some pretty nice photos! The following picture is of her at Nelson Mandela’s b-day shenanigans! I am in full support of this! Now, don’t get me wrong.. this aint stanning! I aint buying none of her records and I am not in support of plastic surgery! I just like what she looks like right here! {art of me wants to see her and LaToya Jackson side by side! Don’t you?
5. Alot of rumors about Paula Abdul leaving American Idol this weekend! I think this is just a rumor since they are filming auditions and she has been in the mix thus far. On the real though, they brought in this new woman to transition Paula out for being wierd and on mood stabilizers and pain killers! Is that mean to say? Is it the truth? I really don’t know but it would seem odd to bring another chick in the mix!
6. This isn’t REALLY news but I LOVE me some Condaleeza Rice and she hit up the ESPYs and look PHantastic! I want some liberal to play it off like she doesn’t look stunning!
7. And Whitney has returned and I am STOKED for September 1, 2009 when I can go and buy this album! I a so happy for this legend of a woman and I am REALLY praying for her! Everybody deserves a comeback! You know what I mean?
8. Keisha Cole.. PLEASE GET YOUR MOM! Why is she trying box with Chili from TLC at parties? Not the business! Rumor has it that she she was super stoked to see Chili but was under the impression that Chili went Hollywood on her;. The result was some screaming about Keyshia being better than Chili and Chili thinking she was better than her. Frankie, hate to say it but if YOU launched out at Chili and she didn’t launch back at you… SHE IS BETTER THAN YOU!
9. Who think Nia Long was talking about a certain R&B singer when she basically said that singers need to stay in their lane and quit trying to be actresses?
